We encourage the use of the AAOS tools because we need to standardize the tools we use to measure Outcomes. Without Standards, we cannot compare studies that used seperate tools. Through the AAOS and MODEMS program we have the opportunity to create a standard set of instruments that are reliable, reproducible and valid. We believe using the AAOS instruments is helping the Outcomes movement toward a standard set of Outcome measures.
